Can you believe that CHA is just around the corner?  It seems like just yesterday we were wondering the convention center floor at the sweltering CHA Summer show in Florida.  But it is, indeed, that time again, and that means exciting, new classes from top notch instructors here at the Oasis!

This year, we are thrilled to announce that Donna Downey will be here to teach one of her brand new classes! Donna is an internationally known mixed media artist who has her roots in the scrapbook industry.  She is the author of 5 books about scrapbooking and a former contributor to Simple Scrapbooks magazine.  She has a gorgeous line of products with Prima which includes fabric albums and embellishments.

class description:  Robert palmer said it best, but beyond the dancing girls in the background and the 1980’s reference, this class is all about RESIST techniques! You will learn and design a sampler style visual handbook as you create and experiment with 10 distinctly different resist techniques, using paints, wax, inks, glues, matte medium, crackles and UTEE. Learn how and when to use the products you already have in your scrap supplies at home to create additional layers of dimension and texture to your scrapbooking, cardmaking, and artistic style. Using your newly created sampler handbook as your guide, the class culminates with the creation of a one of a kind and unique art piece that you create applying the techniques learned in the workshop.

Quick Update

We've had so many request for some of Tim Holtz's Holiday Stamps that we've gotten some in for you plus a few extra goodies like his new Film Strip Ribbon. This is a part of Tim's Idea-ology collection and consists of a 108" strip of printed transparent film and is packaged in a very cute tin.

Holiday Album Kit

We have an exclusive Holiday Album kit designed just for you by Suzy Plantamura and as usual, she did a stellar job! This album is absolutely beautiful! Suzy was definitely thinking “outside of the box” when creating this album. She has combined two books to make one album. She’s just so clever!

The top portion of the book is Maya Road's chipboard tree and the bottom is 4, 8x8 chipboard pieces and the mix of the two is adorable. Her masterpiece doesn’t stop there. She took that amazing base and finished it off by using an eclectic mix of manufacturers to keep the album unique. Suzy then brings the whole album together with a beautiful array colors. Fuchsias, turquoise, sage green, reds and white add just the right touch to make this album truly, one of a kind!

In total this album is 18 (fabulous) pages front and back and includes detailed instructions and colored photos of each page.

It's Never to Early for Love...

Especially when it's Pink Paislee's new Cupid Collection. It arrived today and we are in love! It has a Parisian feel to it, with Fleur-de-lis and the Eiffel Tower, and then bright colors which makes the line more playful. So you get that old world charm with fresh fun colors!
